Kwasi brings a wealth of legal expertise and industry knowledge to the table. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is a distinguished member of both the Ghana Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

With a background in commercial and corporate law practice, commercial dispute resolution, construction law, and real estate markets, Kwasi is a seasoned professional in the legal field. His extensive understanding of the standard FIDIC contracts utilized in Ghana's construction industry sets him apart, as he advises multinational clients on tailoring these contracts to suit their specific needs.

Kwasi's proficiency extends beyond construction law; he has also provided invaluable counsel to local banks on loan recovery strategies, leveraging Acts such as the Borrowers and Lenders Act, 2008 (Act 773) and the Mortgages Act, 1972 (NRCD 96) to expedite the recovery process without resorting to lengthy court proceedings.

Awo earned her Qualifying Professional Certificate from the Ghana School of Law in October 2023 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws, Second Class Honors (Upper Division) from the University of Ghana, Legon, in June 2020.

With a keen eye for detail and a knack for analytical thinking, Awo honed her skills through internships at D.K. Amerley and Associates and Prohurst Consult. Her valuable experience equipped her with the expertise needed to excel in the legal field.

Property, Construction and Land

Our Property, Construction and Land law practice covers different facets of the real estate industry in Ghana, including sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, leasing and advising on construction agreements for commercial developments. We have represented some of the leading local and international real estate developers in various phases of real estate investment structuring and development and property management. We have significant experience in the commercial and residential real estate development sectors.

Our transactional experience in construction law encompasses major construction projects as we have worked with bespoke versions of FIDIC contracts tailored for the unique needs of our clients. We also assist clients with planning, permitting and tax related matters on their construction projects.

Our work in construction law involves procurement advice, drafting and negotiating the terms of the needed contracts (and subcontracts) and advisory services on claims (handling claims relating to delays to completion of a project, construction schedules, or structural defects or defects in quality of materials supplied) and taking clients through litigation or arbitration.

We advise both public and private sector developers, contractors, landlords, tenants, and service providers.

Dispute Resolution
